Hi, I’m Tk Armstrong,
Owner of Executive Delivery Service (EDS)
I’m delighted to tell you a little bit about our company and how we got started.
EDS started in 1994 because Branson was booming with activity. There was a strong need for deliveries back and forth to Springfield, documents to be taken regionally to Tulsa, St Louis, Kansas city, Joplin, etc…, as well as Branson area deliveries. Initially, same day deliveries were a big request and the traffic drove the community to seek us out. We were able to provide a way for the employees to stay in the office and do what they do best, while we beat the streets for them. Some of our initial customers were and still are:
• Skaggs hospital needed quick deliveries to labs in Springfield and the regional medical locations (X-rays, blood work, and documents).
• Mountain Man Nut and Fruit company, GTE, and Tablerock Asphalt were some of our early customers.
• Banks (such as Empire Bank and Ozark OMB) needed daily pick-ups from all their satellite locations.
• Automobile repair businesses needed parts from Springfield to be brought into Branson, and the same for boat repair shops.
• Lawyers needed papers brought back and forth to Springfield.
• Theatres needed Tickets Delivered.
• Coach companies, like Heartland Country Charters needed us to pick up and deliver tickets.
• Developers needed construction material, plotted plans, printed flyers, and rack cards.
We started in 1994 with our family doing all the deliveries. Tim Rogers, (My brother, and well known in the community, a disabled vet, who is wheel chair bound,) had a van and was able to deliver small things. Tim became good friends with Tony Orlando, Jim Stafford and Mickey Gilley whom were some of our first customers. (They were so kind to Tim and remain life long friends.) Tim would go to the post office and pick up their mail (No one wanted to get out in that traffic), and the local community of people were always very kind and would give Tim assistance when needed.
George Manning, (My Dad we call him “Poppy) had just retired from Hallmark Cards, and was raring to go. Esther Manning (Momma) did everything too, she did deliveries, answered phones, handled Public Relations (She loves taking them to Lunch), and spread the word to the community about us. Edi Haynes (My favorite Aunt) has been my office manager and bookkeeper for over 10 years; she’s the rock that holds it all together. My son, Gabriel Armstrong started delivering just as soon as he got his license (Middle of the night runs were his favorite). My daughter, Angel Austin helps with her proficient computer skills with the billing and accounting as well as dispatch.
My entire family works every waking hour to make our company be the best family owned business ever. Special details and specialized routes were worked out for each client.
Let me tell you about our drivers whom we are very proud of. Monica and her husband Allen have been with us since 1995. She and Allen are very efficient, dependable, and very much a part of our family – we couldn’t do it without them. Karen Fisher who is beautiful inside and out has been with us since 1996 – she is so wonderful and kind. Steve Maxwell and his entire family have also been with us for years. Their work ethics and professionalism make me so proud. We are Blessed and highly favored to have them as part of our team.
We appreciate you checking out our site.
Feel free to call us if you need something picked up and delivered anywhere.
We are glad to assist you.
God Bless you.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Tk Armstrong
